Motherland Inspirations

Motherland Inspirations was created by Patsy Matthews, a self taught jewelry designer and craft artist. Handmade by Patsy, her jewelry is inspired by African symbols such as the Ankh, several Adinkra symbols and African fabrics. She also designs other symbolic jewelry such as crosses and Tree of Lifes. She uses a lot of copper and brass wire which has been said to possess beneficial health properties. She also makes other African inspired pieces such as ornaments and other accessories.  Each piece is handmade by Patsy. Additionally, Motherland Inspirations is also an Urban Garden where Zane and Patsy Matthews produce vegetables, herbs, and flowers with minimal use of chemical fertilizers and insecticides. Only organic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers are used directly on the plants. They specialize in non-gmo and heirloom plants and vegetables. They produce a variety of vegetable and flower plant starts for sale at the market as well as container gardens of lettuce, spring onions and herbs.  The business is home based in Lexington, NC
